Hello
The problem is when intalling OS/2, the install hangs when I get to the modem/network bit (types of activities), it doesnt matter what i select when I get to the (ready to install) screen and click install it sits there and does nothing, I have tried everything I can think of but nothing gets me past this stage of the installation
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Ok ignore this problem has been solved
A swift kick and it seems to have carried on to the next bit,
one other question though is what improvements should I do to this initial install.
ie what browser should I be upgrading to, what is the standard office suite for OS/2, (is there a default one like wordpad) or should I use some thing like Star office 5.2 (as it is the only one I have to hand)
What is the latest fixpack (free) and are they cumulative ie if I download the latest will it contain all the patchs to datethanks

First of all your need more than 16 MB RAM to run current software, minimum is 64MB.
I suggest installing XWorkplace, this will enhance you desktop in any way (lots of features http://www.xworkplace.org)
The last available browsers are Netscape 4.61, Opera 5.12 and Warpzilla (Mozilla). Netscape&Opera will work but mozilla needs more power.
The last free fixpak for Warp4 was FixPak15, and yes its cumulative. More to find on the WarpUpdates page: http://www.warpupdates.mynetcologne.de
Warp4 chips with Bonuspak and IBM Works thats a light Office but outdated, use free Star Office 5.2.
If you like some multimedia get some more information from http://www.os2usr.org/mmos2.html
