Comment:
I usually compile my OS/2 ap using MSC6 under W2000 command box and run on OS/2 machine.Everything is ok! Now I use another PC which the OS is XP and do the same thing and I got "This program can not be run in DOS mode". I want to know the difference between XP and W2000. Since I do not want to carry 2 NBs out and work.

XP does not support the OS/2 subsystem. You may need to do something like dualboot, or run something in a VM. Virtual PC is free and will run OS/2 or Windows 2000 NT4 under Windows XP or Vista (along with other things.)

You can even dual-boot OS/2 with its boot manager, and use older versions of OS/2
