Comment: I want to install os/2 from floppy and harddrive, therefore I need disk1.dsk and NOT disk1_cd.dsk. Can someone e-mail this image to me? I only have disk0.dsk disk1_cd.dsk and disk2.dsk

Reply: (edit)Ron, we need some more information to help you. What version of OS2 are you using? From the count of diskette images you've already got it looks like Warp 3 something. However, there are at least 4 versions of Warp 3 out there and I didn't count server images and languages. btw, did you search on the Warp CD-ROM for disk1.dsk? - It should be there together with disk1_cd.dsk

Reply: (edit)I have os2 warp 4... but there was no disk1.dsk on the CD to my surprise... (i borrowed it, but had to return it so i copy'd the whole CD ) I've searched the web and it says there must be 4 files there (disk0/1/2.dsk and disk1_cd.dsk) , and I have to make disk1.dsk for an instal from HD. (but this you already know i guess. :) I've tried to make 3 disks (with the disk1_cd.dsk) and tweak it to install from HD but it does not work. (been busy a whole day ... but i'm not giving up)

Reply: (edit)I think all the files for disk1.dsk are in directory "\OS2IMAGE\DISK_1" on the installation CD. Copy all those files to an empty floppy. Label it "disk1". If you don't already know...: Don't forget to add COPYFROMFLOPPY=1 as the first line in config.sys on this disk1 floppy. Also you have to edit the line "set os2_shell=sysinst2.exe" and append the path to your OS2IMAGE dir. In my case after editing: set os2_shell=sysinst2.exe C:\WARP4\OS2IMAGE You must replace "C:\WARP4" in the path above to the drive and directory where you have the copy of the installation CD. It worked for me.
