I tried OS/2 v1.0, v1.1, and v1.3 on Microsoft Virtual PC. No show. v1.0 kept reseting the PC, v1.1 did nothing (No disk activity), and v1.3 got the message "Invalid Country.sys" file. I got OS/2 v2.1 (No sound), OS/2 Warp 3 (With Sound Support), OS/2 Warp 4, and (I know this is not the Linux forum) Redhat 6.2.

The message "invalid Country.sys" might just mean that the filesystem on the bootpartition was not properly accessed.
Warp 3 and 4 display "cannot find country.sys" messages when COUNTRY.SYS is not found. This is the first driver loaded by the kernel using the normal file system (the first ones were loaded using a mini fs).
I tried to setup sound for OS/2 v2.1. I have the multimedia extensions. I do know that VPC supports sound for OS/2 v2.1. Sound works without problems with Warp 3. My expiriences with Modern OS/2 have been problem free.
