If you have an XGA adapter, change resolution by going into OS/2 System icon, then System Setup icon, then open the System icon, then select the screen tab. Select the desired resolution and number of colors from the list. You will have to shutdown and reboot after changing the resolution.

If you don't have an XGA adapter and are running OS/2 version 2.1, VGA at 640x480x256 is the best I think you can do. Someone else may know how though. In OS/2 version 2.11 there were some SVGA adapter video drivers that would get you higher resolutions.

ok. i have an Trident TVGA 8900 adapter and it can do 1024x768 in windows 3.1. it's weird that os/2 couldn't do better. if i download a trident driver for os/2 can i use 1024x768 resolution with that?

You have to remember win3.1 was booming with OS2 very much in the background at the time. With really only IBM creating drivers for it.
