OCE 3165 DAC Error

Comment:
Operating system on DAC is OS/2, this error keeps happening....Process netbios2q.exe died on signal 0, with status 0. This DAC is on our network which is NT. Any ideas what this is? We have conflicting ideas here. Service Tech for the Oce 3165, says its our network, person here says it's the DAC. When this error occurs, and you print, you get a "printer error or busy". Any help would be appreciated!!!!

How is the DAC connected? TCPIP or Netbios?

tcp/ip.....tech came back today and believes (it is working at the moment) that the port its connected to on the switch was intermittently failing....I'm am not doing a happy dance yet! Ever heard of a single port failing?

The sw on that DAC is a much modified version of OS/2 by OCE. All the protocol stacks included Netware are modified by Oce. I have seen many of those process errors for no reason at all, even when things are printing fine. All I can tell you, is if you do not need anything but TCPIP, then make sure the tech disables all the other ones. He should be able to tell via the config sheet.

Certain types of documents or printing schemes such as mailmerge can cause errors when printing from NT Workstation but do not happen when using Server.
