This is NOT the windoze-forum, but the OS/2-forum. OS/2 does not suffer from the existance of Win32-virusses, and most likely, OS/2-users won't be able to help you.

It may have just infected the boot sector.
Try using a write-protected win98 boot disk.
Boot the PC with it.
At the prompt type fdisk /mbr
Hope this helps.
PS By the way boot sector viruses can infect any OS hdd.
