Hi there
Yes, I am a Mac user, I have seen OS/2 in use and think it is great, stable, and powerfull. Yes I run OS9, and yes it does crash. But I like the fact that OS/2 is powerfull and stable. The Unix style of NeXT OS (the next OS of Apple being MacOSX) wont be out in Australia for ages, and want something stable. does anyone know how I can buy OS/2 - I am running VirtualPC and can take OS/2.
You'll be able to buy OS/2 on IBM site, but this may not be the best choice. If you want an old version (Warp 3 or 4), you'll buy it on auction sites (try ebay). If you want the latest OS/2 evolution, you'll have to buy Ecomstation (this will be the future OS/2 Warp). Go to www.ecomstation.com where you will be able to pre-order it (and they'll send you immediately the pre-version).
The July issue of the Australian Personal Computer User Mag had it for free.
You might be able to contact the publishers and get a back issue with CDs. There was Red Hat Linux and BeOs Personal Edition on CDs as well with this issue.
