About 2 years ago I backed up a bunch of files to CDR, and used a utility to convert the long file names and paths to short ones. This utility stored the long names in the file extension using some odd algorithm, making filenames like THISFILE.X0W

Stupid me didn't place a copy of the utility on the CD, and now I can't remember what it was called, or find anything like in on the net after hours of many Google searches. (been thru Hobbes, up and down, too).

Anyone have a clue what that utility was called, or where I might find a copy? I'd hate to have to try and rename all these files by hand...
