Comment: I have been fighting with OS/2 and a Linksys PCM100 network card (version 3) for the last 4 days now. I've reinstalled Warp 4 five times so far, read countless FAQs about how to set up TCP/IP in Warp 4, and downloaded an alternate pcm100.nif file to try using. All of these attempts have ended up with an error as follows: ifconfig:ioctl (SIOCGIFADDR): no such interface on bootup. I just started using OS/2 and read "setup.cmd" in c:\mpth\bin just to find out what the interface name is supposed to be, but it doesn't look like the driver is enabling the interface somehow. I'm out of ideas so far, and now that I'm ready to put my fist through the screen of this laptop, I'm turning here, calling for any other ideas before I give up on Warp and just install freebsd on this. Thanks for any help, Kitambi

Reply: (edit)ok, I asked too soon. I have the interface up now, with ip address of 192.168.1.16. Also, the loopback is running. I have no problems pinging the loopback or 192.168.1.16, but I can't ping any other machines, nor can I use any other machines to ping this one. I looked in the arp table for the os/2 machine, and it's empty...and when I ping the os/2 machine from another machine, the ethernet card's activity light flashes, but doesn't if I try to ping FROM the os/2 machine. It looks like there's a firewall blocking all outbound traffic, but if that's so, I don't know where it is, or how to disable it.

Reply: (edit)ok, I now wish I could remove this thread. I fixed the irq conflict with the network card, and now it works fine. *smacks himself* sorry, it's the middle of the night :p
