Subject: Installing OS/2 partition problems |
Comment: I am trying to install OS/2 warp 4, os/2 fdisk won't let them create or even format a partition. All the options are blued out and unselectable, OS/2 says their is only about 100mb on my disk drive, but there is 6 gig easy. If I try and do it manually I get stuck because I can not format the partition because it's not compatible with my DOS version. Help more info the better!!!

Reply: (edit)You need to update your install disks. Original install disks only contain drivers that support up to 4.3 Gig. You can obtain the fix from the IBM device driver site (sorry, I don't have the link handy at the moment, but a search on the 'net should dig it up..it's still an up to date maintained site) There are instructions in the 'Readme' files in the download. From memory, I think it is a single file..self extracting .exe Good luck wardy
