Comment: I tried connecting the CD_ROM drive to the controller cable (shared with the HD), and the system will not boot (just hang). I cannot get into setup (for BIOS setup). How can I install the CD-ROM? Thanks.

Reply: (edit)You will need to get into the BIOS to make the hardware configuration. Without it, the machine will hang during POST cycles.

Reply: (edit)Ctrl+Altr then S worked to get into the BIOS setup. However, no CD-ROM configuration exists in BIOS - I think I need to set a jumper on the mother board. Thank you all for your help.
