Comment: I tried connecting the CD_ROM drive to the controller cable (shared with the HD), and the system will not boot (just hang).
I cannot get into setup (for BIOS setup).
How can I install the CD-ROM?

Reply: (edit)You will need to get into the BIOS to make the hardware configuration. Without it, the machine will hang during POST cycles.

worked to get into the BIOS setup.
However, no CD-ROM configuration exists in BIOS - I think I need to set a jumper on the mother board.
