Hi all, I'm new to OS/2 and I'm having some issues getting my install working.
I am attempting to boot off of the three OS/2 floppies. This set of boot floppies previously had driver version 7.00 of my 6i RAID adapter. I moved the files from the updated 7.12 driver package onto disk 1 (second disk) and over-wrote the previous version.
Driver package I'm using is located here - http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=psg1MIGR-60698
When I boot up using the three floppies it still reports a version mismatch and freezes the system. It claims that the RAID driver is still 7.00. I have verified that all files from the previous version have been erased and properly replaced.
I have edited config.sys to include SET COPYFROMFLOPPY=1 on the first line.
The logical partition on the server has been freshly created and initialized.
I'm out of ideas. I hope that any of you can help me here!
Thanks!
-Cody

hi, ¿is your system function well without update the driver?, if so, don't update.
if you want to update the driver, i sugest you, first delete previous driver and all relate files, and write the new.
there is in the web page you mentioned, a text file (39y4855.txt) instruction for installing the driver.
i think you need to create the diskettes (5 diskettes)from the images avaible there, to update the driver, and don't need to change anything in the os/2 diskettes.
good luck.
