Hi -
I am having some network problems with installing OS/2 Warp as a virtual PC within the Connectix Virtual PC software.
The Connectix software emulates a DEC Ethernet card which gets a 192.XXX.XXX.XXX IP address from DHCP - it sees the Host DHCP OK as it gets the domain suffix and dns server info.
Although i am unable to map any LAN drives.
The Host LAN is Token Ring - I think this may be where the problems lies.

I installed Warp 4 then applied fixpack 15 with no problems. Boot into the OS/2 install using the installation disk and 2 install disks. Virtual PC lets you create a default OS/2 partition.
Networking the build is another issue - several sites suggest that using Netbios over IP is the only way to see a LAN beyond the private network.
Either way VPC is unbelievably processor hungry - almost maxes out my P4 1.7 256Mb.

Has anyone got OS/2 to work on this product??
Iam tearing my hair out trying to configure MPTS/NetBIOS over IP to get this thing to work.
What default gateways/Wins Server etc should you use ? is it the 192.XXX.XXX.XXX addresses or out office lan addresses.
