Hello, I got ahold of a zip file containing OS/2 Warp 4, is there a way to install it completely and absolutely from the HD since I've read some posts that say that I need to make some boot disks to run the setup.
Please help. Thanks and merry chrismas.

hi, have only two forms to installing:
create a cd (first unzip them) or make a diskettes set. each method have their own install file ( a .bat file).
good luck.

Install OS/2 From a Harddisk Drive.
There are many reasons why you might want to install OS/2 from your harddisk. Some of them are:- Its the fastest way.
- Your can't get your CDROM drive to work under OS/2.First you have to make a copy of \OS2IMAGE from the OS/2 CDROM to your Harddisk. You can do it by booting from DOS or OS/2 in a configuration that accesses your CDROM Drive.
Lets say your have booted to a DOS partition called C: and your CDROM drive is called D:From the root in drive C:
XCOPY D:\OS2IMAGE C:\OS2IMAGE\*.* /S
Create a textfile called OS2SE20.SRC, in the root of drive C: with the following line.\OS2IMAGE
Make a copy of OS/2 Disk 1. Edit the CONFIG.SYS file on the copy of disk 1.
Change the SET OS2_SHELL line to :SET OS2_SHELL=SYSINST2.exe C:\OS2IMAGE
Boot from the OS/2 Installation Disks.
And you are now installing from your harddisk.
