Hi people,
Please, how could I install the OS/2 warp 3.0 connect on a 40GB IDE hard-disk?How could I create the partitions?
Thank you.
Carlos

Not sure I understand the problem. Use FDISK for partitioning. Or perhaps you are looking for a product like DFSee or Patition Magic to create new partitions without losing data.
If the OS is having problems using your 40GB drive, download & substitute DANIS506 for IBM1S506.add. I'm sure you can find multiple download points by googling DANIS506.
DANIS506 is an IBM1S506 replacement that supports Intel, VIA, Ali, SiS, CMD, Promise, Cyrix, HPT, AMD, Artop, SMSC, ServerWorks, Opti, Nvidia, NatSemi and SiliconImage, SerialATA, disk capacities up to 2TiB.

Hello friends!!
Yes, I updated the DANIS506.add and now I can install the OS/2 on the machine.
But, now I have another problem. The system is very, very slow. I will try to found out the cause, but seems that the read from hard-disk is slow.
If you know something that I could doing...
Something like the necessary parameters on config.sys. (e.g. BASEDEV=DaniS506.ADD <Parameters?> )
Thanks in advance for your help!!
Carlos

Hi people!
Yes, I installed the OS/2 on the 40GB IDE hard-disk using DANIs506 driver.
But, now I have a graphic card ATI Mach 64, and I couldn´t install this device. After install, when the OS/2 is starting up, it show me lots of exception error on the device driver loading.
Do you know a graphic card that could run with Danis506 driver?

The DANIS506 driver is not a graphics card driver.
You can investigate the SciTech SNAP Graphics driver for OS/2. I think it would support the ATI Mach 64.

Hello Wally!
Thank you! I´m investigating it!
But, is there something related between using a generic driver as DANIs driver and the hardware performance?? What do you think?
Regards,
Carlos
