have tried installing os/2 warp 4 on a 9300 series with 130 megs/ram, 8 gig hard drive. (intel 500 pentium 3 chip)
made 3 installation floppys, but the install program stops with an error message "this system detected an internal processing error at location ##1000:2ebf-0002:2ebf 60,000, 2008." tried shutting the auto detection off, hard drive is partioned off as follows in this order;
os/2=2000
Blank=2000
Blank=2000
blank=2000
have tried the "warp4iu1 + warp4iu2" same error.
will answer any questions you have !!Paulp

At what point during the install does it hang? When the OS/2 BootBlock appears on the top left of the screen, hit ALT-F2 to see which drivers are loading and where it is hanging.
It is possible that a BIOS setting is causing this. One key setting that can cause this is in the memory settings... do NOT set it to "OS/2" - it is an ancient compatibility mode for OS/2 v1 and does not work with anything else.
Feel free to post more details (where it is hanging, what additional hardware is in the machine, etc), I'll see if I can offer more detailed help.

Hi Rob,
The screen hangs part way through the blue "OS2 Warp" screen "Disk 1", sound like three or four loads from disk !! then crash !Thanks for the return !
Paulp
