Subject: How to switch to generic VGA drivers?
Comment:
My Matrox AGP card just died on me and all I got is a standard S3 PCI VGA card. But, when I plug this card in, the machine (OS2 Warp4) boots up and stops, citing a device error, something like SINGLEQ??!! What I would like to know is, how do I edit the config.sys and autoexec.bat so that I can just use the generic VGA drivers? I don't need nice colors but just see my OS2 running... Please, anyone....?

On boot, when you see the little white blob in the upper left corner, press Alt+F1. A menu will come up, you'll manage from there.
