Dear,
I am using a model of IBM ThinkPad 760/ED which hard disk drive capacity is only 1.2GB. I would like to get a more powerful one; so far, I could not get any in Japan where I live. I would like to have all information about price and consignment about hard disk drives that can fit in my computer. Capacity required: 3.1GB); 4.1GB; 5.1GB; 6.1GBPlease, reply through my E-mail.
Sincerely,

Hi,
You are using a powerfull notebook. I had the same problem. The original IBM Hard disk max capacity is so far i know 5GB. I'm using a 8.2GB disk. You need a 2.5" hard disk (eg. IBM for better compatibility ). Disassemble carefully the drive in the Ultra-bay. It is very easy. Remove the cover and connector by removing the two screws. Then change the drive with the new one. You need to add some buffer under the drive; the new drive are smaller than the old one. Assemble the drive and mount it back into the UltraBay.
It seems that the bios of the TP760ED did not support large drives. So you need a disk manager like Ontrack. You can download this driver from the IBM Storage web site.Good luck!!
Don't forget the backup of all your data prior to the change
And you are loosing your warranty!!Regards
Ludger
