Floppy Drive Failure Message

When I boot my machine, my floppy gets power. After all the other drives are recognized, I get a "Floppy Drive Failure" message on the screen. Tried swapping out the cable, put a new drive in -- same error message. I think it's the controller on the MB. Any other ideas ? Thanks.

first of all veryfing the connection to the FDD cable. Then checking power to FDD input voltage. Then you see the setup configaration, and checking Floppy Drive A:,last and final veryfing the coms battery.
