In my Cmos I have an option to boot to OS/2 if over 64mb. The setting options are (yes) or (no). I have 196meg ram, a Celeron 400mhz processor, I'm currently running XP. I have previously run on the same machine win 95, 98 & me. What option would be my best option for `boot to OS/2 if over 64mb'? The options are: yes or no, and what is OS/2?

OS/2 is a 32-bit multi-tasking operating system, still used by many who do not want to corrupt themselves. If you are running Win XP, leave this set to No.

Chris,
OS/2 was/is an IBM alternative to DOS and Windows based systems I first experienced it in 1992 at v2.0 and as Jim pointed out is a 32-bit multitasking OS. Due to ineffectual IBM marketing and Microsoft's practices, it has not enjoyed the wide spread use and development of Windows but tends to be used in more mission critical situations as well as in a lot of ATMs and police car computers. I have enjoyed the OS since my first contact and there isn't enough room here to due the subject justice. For some more information:
http://www.Serenity-Systems.com has been licensed rights to develop the client further and it is known as eComstation:

*** Kudos to all involved in those projects as well as those doing continuing work and development with the OS
Dare to be different :)
