Comment:
Further to my fixpak problems, I backed out of fixpak15 to fixpak12, which I committed, and my COM2 port and digitizer are working fine. I do not have the MPTS and TCPIP fixpaks installed at this time.

What happened a few days ago, when the network still seemed to be working fine, is that one of my drive connections to my NT box behaved strangely, ie, it locked up and could not be accessed. I deleted it from the connections tab in the networking setup GUI, hoping to reinstall it. Then, and since then, I have not been able to make connections to my NT box. When I try to establish a connection, I get this error message: SYS0234: More data is available.
EXPLANATION: a read operation on a pipe has read the requested amount, but the pipe contains more data to be read.

ACTION: Contact the supplier of the application.

this message is completely "Greek" to me. I see references to "pipes" in the NET HELP book, but nothing that addresses this error.

P.S. to my earlier post.

FYI, I seem to have overcome the previously-described problem by just typing the appropriate NET commands from a command prompt, namely, NET USE [drive letter] \\MACHINE_NAME\DRIVE_NAME. Voila! there it is now on the GUI tab. If it's not a fixed setup, a small REXX batch file program should initiate the services.

Thank God for Typing 10 and having had to grow up on DOS.
