has anybody come up with a good way to dual boot OS/2 with Windows 95/98? can anyone give me a clear cut step by step plan?
No, but if you install Windows95 into a FAT16 partition, you can install OS/2Warp4 on top of Windows and dual boot then. Why not just install multiple different Operating Systems into their own partitions and use some sort of utility to select and boot. Such as System Commander, or Power Boot or you could use the Boot Manager that comes with OS/2.
My experience in doing that : linux fdisk (it's free) for setup 2 primary partitions (FAT32 and FAT16). Install windows first. Format FAT16 partition. Use win fdsik to disable FAT32 and set Bootable FAT16 partition. Install OS/2 ( FAT32 is invisible). Use win boot diskette to inicialize DOS. Use fdisk to disable FAT16 e enable FAT32. Reboot. Install on win the partition magic software (only the BootMagic part with Demo avalable on the internet - it's free). Configure BootMagic to see both FAT16 and FAT32.
best regards.
