I was given a copy of Merlin on CD. I will need to make the install on 3.5" floppies to a laptop. The problem is the CD does not include the image files for 3.5 floppies. However the CD does include the floppy files in directories disk_1...disk_43.... The problem is upon disk_3, the files exceed 1.44 meg (1.87 meg is the total size of disk 3)
What solution could I use with a machine with CDROM that is running DOS with 8.3 file convention? I assume all the install files are under 8 chars with Warp4.

You can create the three/four boot disks from the CD. Boot to Windows and run the install.bat command on the root of the CD. This will show on screen prompts.

Thank you, but that does not address my issue.
I want to install Warp 4 on Laptop.
Laptop does not have CDROM but does have floppy drive.I have desktop computer with CDROM and floppy drive.
Therefor, given utility X, I can creat required floppy install disks to install OS/2 Warp 4 on Laptop. What is utility X?

bad luck! Warp 4 has a completely outlandisch minimum hardware prerequisite of a CD-ROM drive.
Isn't this outragious? To demand a CD-ROM drive in a PC of the 21st century! We all ought to sue IBM about producing such bad software! Maybe Ed Fagan will jump in and help us all out.
