Here are some options...
1.) Try using two video cards that are 3dfx based chipsets
2) Visit http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q182/7/08.ASP make sure (preferably) that yours cards are on here..
3)Try for a fresh install of Win98 or better Install Win2K (SE and 2k Use WDM drivers)
4)Switch to VGA mode on any/all cards boot to safe mode and remove any reference to previous video cards.
5)Try to us ALL PCI. (clocking at the bios level may be the issue)
6)You need a whole new driver written which can source route to pci / agp slot device numbers.

The reference to win98 should be win98SE (full)...

I recently had to redo my computer and decided to put Windows 98 on it. This may have been a bad mistake on my part. Now I don't have the drivers for Win98 for my Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 video card or for my monitor. I've been able to get the monitor driver but not the video card. i need driver win98 diamond stealth 3d 2000 help!!!!!!

I have an OS/2 Diamond 3D 2000 driver (s3virge.zip) but i'm having problems installing it. During the install, i get an error msg "cant find pvirge.dsp" which is one of the installation files after the driver has been unzipped but the file's there!
But the installation continues on till it gets to the stage where it says "determining hardware configuration....please wait" It hangs after that.
The thing is, i've installed it before with no probs.
Btw, i have Warp4 with Fixpak14.
So any clues?

I have a Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 Pro Video Card running in Win 95 on a 17 inch monitor. Recently the screen was blotted out by a mass of horizontal small multicloloured lines or vertical lines. I have tried reducing the resolution, number of colours and the refresh rate but am now only able to run at 16 colours. Any attempt to increase the colours produces black or multi coloured vertical lines spaced about 2 or 3 mm apart. Please advise.
