My dial up was working fine until I started to configure TCP/IP for DSL - now I have neither.
For dial-up I get
"Connector completed"
"error :[NETW]Invalid fcs
"warn :fsm_timeout LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests"
"info :Exit Called"

You might wanna try the third party solution from F/X Communications. It's a very nice and robust dialer. It can be downloaded from this location: http://www.fx.dk/injoy
