Comment:
I am having a problem creating the install disks (from 2 onwards) meaning i can not install. I keep on getting this error message:

XDF3507: An error occurred while writing to the diskette or image file. Information on the disk or image file might be incomplete or distorted.

I am creating the images from an original CD - using the MAKEDSKS.BAT file and the command line XDFCOPY E:\DISKIMGS\OS2\35\DISK2.DSK A: with no luck.

Does anybody know what's going on? I'm trying to install onto a Digital 486 75mhz laptop with no cd-rom :(

Is it a case that my floppies aren't good enough and i'm going to have to go out and buy some? or is there a utility that will reset a used floppy to just how it was when bought?

Cheers

Try formating the disks before you start.

I knew that would happen - but i have been formatting the disks - when i say 'reset a used floppy to just how it was when bought' - i mean completely wiping them - removing anything to do with dos fat / fat16 - is that possible?

Cheers
