Comment:
hey all,
for my school i need to install os-2 warp on a old pc , now the cdrom does not work because i need a driver for it. Compaq model CRD 8322B (CP1) Part no: 179137-706
can somebody help me for a driver? you can also mail it to me!
First, you need to make the CD-ROM bootup diskettes using the DOS program on the OS\2 Warp CD-ROM. Next, if your CD-ROM is a std. IDE drive, it will work. Just pop in the floppys, bootup, make sure OS\2 Warp detects the CD-ROM as something, then pop in the Cd-ROM and Wsetup will take it from there. I can almost garentee you that your CD-ROM drive is compatable if it is IDE.
If your drive is SCSI, then you need to get the SCSI controller driver, then the CD-ROM driver which usually comes with the SCSI controller drivers.
