Does anyone know which brands or models of a rewritable CD that will work with OS/2?
Check out the RSJ CD software site: http://www.rsj.de/stage/en/ They have a list of what works with their software.
There is also a freeware program (CDRecord). Their website is: http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Sector/5785/cdrecord/cdrecordmain.htm#audiocdcreator (put it together to access the site) There are frequent updates, and Warpcast has reported some frontends for it. You can check what works with it. Whatever works with both would be your best bet.

I'd recommend the Yamaha CRW8424SZ or CRW8424SXZ with RSJ CD Writer. (RSJ has a good OS/2 news group)

Hi,
Until my last machine change I was using a HP 9600e (SCSCI external) with CDRecord with no problems. According other user you can use IDE drives with CDRecord only installing the DANIS506 and DANIATPI drivers.

Summary: I'm about to buy a new pc with an Iomega CD-RW minus a separate CD-ROM coz it will duplicate the CD-RW. But will OS/2 Warp4 recognise the CD-RW when I install it(OS/2)?...
Summary: Can't remember if Warp 4 came with drivers (it does come with a CD full of device drivers, but not sure whether that includes CD/R or CD/RW). eComStation (the new OEM version of OS/2) comes with rudim...
