Comment:
My question is this: I'm - attempting - to install OS2 Warp v4 on a HP Pavilion 6343 system which had a 12x CDRW preinstalled. I downloaded the updated disk images for large hard drives (it has an eleven gig drive). No problems in the preinstall/precopy phase (or whatever you call it in OS2 speak). After the Warp installation program finishes its installation and the system is rebooted to complete the install and I'm installing components ( the ATI Mach 64 video adapter seems to install flawlessly), it says "No CDROM drives detected." Now, if the install reaches this point, presumably the updated boot diskes have been able to retrieve systems files from the Warp CDROM, and at this point it becomes an issue with the install CD itself. Is there any way to continue the install, short of swapping out the CDROM? I'm not familiar enough with Warp to solve the problem & online resources for this sort of difficulty seem to be thin. Thanks to anyone for any help that they're willing to give.
