Comment:
My OS/2 Warp 3 system has lotus Freelance Graphics loaded, but there is no printer set up and the program gives me an error message to that effect. However, on clicking "OK" to the error, it goes into an endless loop and I cannot close the program, nor can I minimise it or access any other part of the system. Now when I reboot the machine it loads up Freelance Graphics automatically, complete with ever-cycling error message. How do I stop the system from loading Freelance Graphics automatically on boot-up? I've tried holding down F5, F8, Esc. and Ctrl+Esc, but I have not yet found a way of booting up the machine without starting the errant Freelance Graphics. What is the correct method of preventing the system from automatically restarting a program?
To prevent a program from starting up again you should press Ctrl+Shift+F1 when you see the "clock" and hold them till you see the desktop. To always prevent none closed programs from starting up at boot up you can add the following line to your config.sys: SET RESTARTOBJECTS=STARTUPFOLDERSONLY
