I am trying to set up the display for an older system I am putting together for my grandparents...I formatted the hard drive, installed Win95 (the hardware is 5 years old), but I was having trouble changing the display to anything other than 16 colors. I tried the autodetecting hardware wizard, I manually configured the display settings, and neither worked. The last change I made was to set the display to Standard Display Adapter VGA, which Windows kept telling me to do. I restarted like Windows said to do, and now my computer no longer starts. When I turn it on, it says "32768 KB OK", and a blinking DOS cursor is two lines under that message. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance

Even though this is an OS2 forum here goes.
You'll need to find the correct driver software for the video card to work with more than 16 colours.A search on google should help.

I have a PC that occasionally does the freeze
on reboot. It usually is ok after a cold boot-ie turn the switch power off, allow the HDD to spin down, turn the switch back on.

PCs can do some weird things sometimes. With persiverance you'll get there.

Good Luck
