Comment: Is there a file I can down load from somewhere to remove a message I keep getting everytime I start up my computer. "windows cannot find 'always.exe'. I currently have Windows ME, and I don't know if the 'always' file has been deleted by mistake. Please help!!

Reply: (edit)Wendy, If your computer came with Win ME pre- installed you should have recieved a CD that will restore your computer to factory settings.If this is the case it would be easy just to restore your hard drive.Just make sure you backup any unsaved data and MAKE SURE THAT IT IS A FACTORY RESTORE DISK so you will not loose any device drivers for your hardware.If you see files in your root directory something like found.000 or check.001 that is lost data and you should run your hard drive utilies more often.You should run SCANDISK OR CHKDSK and DEFRAG every couple weeks.By the way if you had OS/2 installed you wouldn't have the Data loss problem all versions of Windows from 95 up seem to have.
