Dear Wise Guys Out There In The World;

I have a two-computers home network in my home. One is a Windows XP SP2 and the other is an eComStation 1.1 machine.

They are linked with a crossover RJ45 cable between the Realtek 8139 Fast Ethernet Adapter in ECS_BOX and the on-board SiS 900 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter on XP_BOX.

I can share folders and printers in both ways and each machine can Ping the other one successfully. Their NIC adapters have the following IPs

192.168.0.1 (XP_BOX)
192.168.0.2 (ECS_BOX)
255.255.255.0 (netmask)

Now I signed for an ADSL timed account with my local telco (Argentina's Telecom ARNET) and I was given by them a HUAWEI SmartAX MT810 modem with USB only connection (no RJ45 on the little thing). After Installing the software that came on a CD-ROM I was in minutes on broadband with XP_BOX.

I now want to share the broadband with ECS_BOX over the LAN cable.

I checked the "Internet Connection Sharing" in the "Advanced" tab of ADSL connection properties and did some aimless tampering with TCP/IP config on eCS, like writting the DNS addresses from ipconfig in XP_BOX in "Name Server Addresses" in the Host Names tab and the IP of the XP_BOX adapter in a "net" entry on the "Routing" tab, but after going nowhere I realized that I'm a clueless newbie that needs some very basic advice on this matters.

I list some info in the hope it can help.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

The MPTS config on ECS_BOX screen shows:
1 - IBM OS/2 NETBIOS
0 - IBM OS/2 NETBIOS OVER TCP/IP
0 - IBM TCP/IP

C:\WINDOWS\system32>ipconfig /all

Hola,
primero te recomiendo que revises la configuración del ICS. Luego te recomendaría que utilizaras un proxy, para chequear la conección.

La configuración de redes en OS/2 no es fácil, específicamente, el MPTS.
