Hello,
I need some help:
I have ADSL trough PPPoE(I have a good OS independent Alcatel modem). They give me 5 dynamic IP addresses. I don't use a router or internet shareing, but rather connect with each computer using their software(in windows), and each computer dynamicaly get's an IP. I tryed to use SafeFire and InJoy under OS/2 warp4(4.5 now) and didn't get it working. I'd rather prefer to use SafeFire, cuz it's free. Any help would beappreciated.Short: How do I use SafeFire in OS/2 to connect toADSL?
Thank you,
DariePS. In windows I can set it up to obtain an Ip adress... autmaticaly(not trough the DHNC
server-something like that, i forget). How do I do thesame in OS/2?

You will have to go to TCP/IP configurations settins (should be in System Settings on your Desktop right click), then select your NIC that connects to router or modem to select DHCP and go through each of the tabs and try to "mirror" your Win settings.
I would also try searching via google for '"os/2" and "dsl"' (without single quotes).
PPoE I hear for OS/2 requires Injoy... but results may vary.
I also am using IGate (proxy server) in OS/2 through dialup, if you don't have a router. It is around $30, worth it. I have problems with TCP/IP fixes (on WarpUp CD v2) for WSeB with IGate. I have contacted IGate's developer about this but with no reply. If interested, look for '"OS/2" and "proxy"' on google.
Good luck.
I am going to go the Cable Modem route. I hear PPoE on OS/2 is not that easy to figure out.
