I have the DivaDSL 2430 SE modem, with both USB and ethernet connection. I use the ethernet port, of course, but whenever I put the power of my modem on and reboot, OS/2 refuses to load the WPS. The modem is stated to be OS independent at Eicon's website. I have already tried to get things working with Injoy PPPoE, StatFire PPP, but nothing helped. Please help me to solve this problem, because I still need that stupid Windows to get on the Net :(
Notice that my modem has 192.168.1.1 as IP address, and that it connects automatically, even when my pc is turned off. In Windows, it assigns the IP 192.168.1.2 to my compter.

Hi,
put this question to http://de.os2.org.
(this page is under constuction at the moment - but should work fine in the next days).
You can try it at commtalk.de.Thomas

No experience with os/2 but just my experience as linuxer:
throw your eicon modem in the trash can!i've tried to use the modem (adsl) in Red Hat, and i couldn't get it started! Now i've the alcatel modem and this one works perfect, AND is REALLY OS independant....
my 2 cents,
Fred.

I'm working fine now!!
Just resetting the modem, setting it up as a DHCP-server for OS/2, and you're up and running!!
Fast and secure; OS/2 rules! Hiha :))
Byebye Microsoft...... Till never again!
