Comment: I have tried everything to get this OS/2 system on our native windows 2000 domain. Ran MPTS and added NETBIOS over TCP/IP, Edited the IBMLAN.INI to reflect our domain. Started PEER services. I can TELNET and FTP into the system. Rebooted so config.sys would initiate. Can some please help me? I need to get it shared so I may pul realtime data from the databse that controls our PBX. PLEASE?!

Reply: (edit)I think the problem is OS/2 can't locate machines runing Windows. Windows protocol use WINS to find machine but OS/2 can't. In Netbios over TCP/IP parameters you find 3 kinds of parameters : Driver parameters, Names list, Broadcasts list. In names list, specify your reached machine names and IP adress. It runs if your reached machines is on same subnetwork but if you must go to another subnetwork, you need to add broadcasts parameters to destination subnetworks. Hope this help

Reply: (edit)Insure netbios over TCP/IP is running on your servers On a fresh load of OS2\2 Connect: Run latest MPTS (I'm using W08610B1) Add Net adapter and protocols (Tcp/IP and Netbios over TCP/IP) edit netbios params - change B-Node to H-node set ip address of nameserver TCP/IP config Activate network interface set ip address (probably need to assign static) set default route (gateway) domain name services set netbios name of workstation set domain set dns exit to save settings Install TCP/IP from bonus pack on CD (bpiu.exe) select options to install (I use basic tcp services and dos/windows access) Install peer from bpiu.exe assign workstation name and domain (not ip; more like workgroup - not critical) you should now have an icon on your desktop for IBM Peer - you can set up shares in there that are browsable from any of your Windows PCs on the domain the order to these events is important
