VMS 4.5 on a TK50 anyone?
Name: Tom Hansen Date: November 8, 2004 at 13:17:50 Pacific OS: VMS 4.5 CPU/Ram: MicroVAX II
Comment:
We have a MicroVAX II on which the hard drive died and we had to replace it.
[ background: This machine is connected to an X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) machine; updated software is available for more modern computers but it costs $10K+ so we really want to try and revive the MicroVAX! ]
We were able to boot off the Standalone backup but then our MicroVMS 4.5 SAV set tape was unreadable.
So, basically, it looks like we need MicroVMS 4.5 on a TK50 tape as a SAV set.
Can anyone help out here? [delete "spamnot." from e-mail to reply]
