Hi,

Re:TX Pro II motherboard

I am having some major headaches with this motherboard at the moment and I saw your name in the forum and was wondering if you would be kind enough to help me.

Here’s my system specs

TX PRO II Mother Board
PR 233 Mhz
SDRAM 128MB / PC133 + and 32MB / PC66
On board Video and Sound
3 Gig H/Drive (Primary Master)
40 Gig H/Drive (secondary Master) – recognised as - Size 8456 – Cyln 16383 – Sec 63 - Mode 4 – 32bit Mode off
CD ROM 32 X
Floppy 1.44

BIOS seems to be AMIBIOS 1996 Release 8/31/19 8 S

I have set it up to boot from Floppy, then Cd then IDE 0 (using the “Optimal Settings” options)

When I boot up, all seems to go well, inc ram check, detection of drives etc…, then it makes another beep sound and goes to another screen with only the top portion showing “AMBIOS System Configuration © 1985 – 1996, American Megatrends Inc., “ … then nothing happens….

Reverting the system to its original settings (ie) removing extra ram and new hard drive doesn’t seem to help the situation.

I don’t know why the system hangs and if please help if you can

Hope to hear from you soon

Kind Regards

Jacques de villecourt
