lodi2001,
VAX/VMS Version 5.2 is VERY old (more than 10 years). You will find that a more current version has many improvements. The most recent version for VAX is 7.3.
I do not understand what you mean by "instructore", can you please explain?
On a VAX 3800, if I recall correctly, you may have the console cable plugged into the incorrect port. As a start, check which port the connector fits on (I do not have a panel diagram for the 3800 handy at this instant).

thanx BOP for replying message .
Actually the " instructor " is the graphic termianl wihch is connected to the Vax 3800 by RS232C Cable to the CYX module in vax machine .
i bought DESQA-sa new (network adapter ) i changed the 6 DIP switches in the module to the ON position the error of DATLB$TXA3 reset and system boted up normaly and i could connect from the graphic terminal to the vax , but after sometimes i got error message " virtual timeout " memory dump error and losting the cluster between to vax machine .
until now the clustring couldn't established between to machines .
is there any settings for dip SWITCH in the DESQA-sa module to make standard network ?
by the way i am using External cable standard connected to the DILNI hub for both A machine and B machine .

You have no installation instruction for the DESQA card ?
Try a search on the HP web site to find one.
Without that, You randomly configured the card by setting all DIP switches to ON !And depending on the Qbus backplane type of Your Vax3800, there may be restrictions to the position of the Ethernet card on the bus: eventually the card has to be inserted before other cards like the serial interface card.
If such configuration rules are violated, a system crash is likely the result.
