Hi, can someone please give me the command to get to the SYSBOOT prompt on a 4300 so I can continue with a minimal startup. Thanks, Greg

Greg,

I admit that I do not have the 4300 manual in front of me, but my recollection is that the command should be "B/R5:<flag> <devicename>". The device name is the name of the boot device (use the SHOW command to enumerate the devices on the system). The <flag> is a number that indicates a number of things. For a conversational boot from the default system root (SYS0), the value would be 1.

I forget if the 4300 has a HELP command in its console, but I would also try HELP. The explanations may be terse, but they will at least tell you about the actual syntax of the commands.
