starting CDE session on my pc

hi can someone tell me how to start a CDE session on my pc? can i do this by a DCL command and setting the DISPLAY variable to point to my pc where iam running X-server?

It very much depends on the (X11-)security settings (SSH tunnel,Kerberos,Xauth ?).
The easiest but insecure is to enable XDM access, see
