OS: OpenVMS 6.2

Comment:
is there a way to retrieve into a variable (in DCL) a key definition ?
or create a key definition that expires after the .com exits ?

Cheers,

I don't know any way to retrieve the key definition into a variable, but you can get it into a file, and then read the file :

$ assign keydef.log sys$output
$ sh key /all
$ deassign sys$output

Then, when you read the file, you can get any key definition. And kill any by the way.

But I don't see really what you need. Do you want to undef a key that has been defined outside of your script? Or do you create a new definition for an existing key?

Xavier
