On a non-graphical system, OpenVMS looks a little boring, like this : $
But there are a lot of interesting commands that you can type behind the dollar prompt. See the OpenVMS DCL dictionary : http://www.openvms.compaq.com/doc/731FINAL/9996/9996PRO.HTML
On a graphical system it depends on the windows manager.
If you have decwindows there are screenshots in the user guide : http://www.openvms.compaq.com/doc/73final/5633/5633PRO.HTML
The same for CDE (common desktop environment): http://www.openvms.compaq.com/doc/73final/usersguide/uguide_1.HTML
