Hi !
I need some help, please !
I had to change my server name and I think I did it. I have also run sys$manager:net$configure and sys$startup:tcpip$config.
Now I have a big problem and I don't know how to solve it: I can't connect to the server from a PC, neither with telnet, nor with ftp or ssh.
I could connect before changing the server name.
I checked tcpip show services, and I saw that telnet, ftp and ssh are enabled.
Can you help me, please ?Mirela

It depends, how "the PCs" are translating the name:
by local host name table ?
using a domain name server ?If name server: is the VMS system in question also the name server ? If yes, You have to update the new name to address entry there.
If name server is some other system: do the update there. And if the PC still does not see the new address: there might be cache issues involved, see the PCs documentation how to flush IP caches.
