i would like to learn more about openVMS? is there a version that runs on a pc? if so where? is there a place i can just telnet to one? what would be the best way to learn these systems?

Hi, there is a version for ALPHA (not Intel) also running on a pc with alpha chip. Or just try to buy a VMS Workstation (digital alpha) may be cheaper. Maybe you can try to find a hotline (compaq is doing this for VMS also). I don't know a "best way" to learn. Most people I know had a master who knows the system and then learned by doing...
But what is the reason for learning VMS now?? Please let me know.
