Hi All,
I have been bought a new OIS server (PB47H-AA), i used 2 CDROM to install Conductor VMS (systemdisk and application disk), install OK, boot OK, but i don't know that how to config for the new server?
I used backup command to backup from 2 existing disk (system disk, Application disk) on existing OIS server to 2 new disk. And then, i used 2 new disk with old oisserver, boot OK. But, when i used 2 new disk with new oisserver then boot not OK.
Everyone can help me?
Please guide me procedure to install new oisserver. Or procedure to install config for 2 new disk.
Thank you very much.

I've read this thread several times now trying to follow what's happening. First, I'm not sure what you mean by "OIS Server" and I'm not sure I've heard the term "Conductor VMS" before, either.

Anyway, my best guess at this point is that the new server you've purchased requires a newer version of OpenVMS than the server you're already running (and trying to clone).

There are, of course, other possibilities that could be at play here. For example, your existing server startup procedure could be making assumptions about device names, and the device names could be different on the new server, resulting in the startup script failing.

Please provide the model number of both your existing and new server as well as the version of OpenVMS that you're trying to run. Any additional details about device names may also be helpful.

Of course, since you logged this problem several months ago, you've probably already resolved the issue by now.
