Hi. I'm running openVMS connected to a storagetek L700 silo. A leader from a volser broke off inside a drive, but the volser was returned back into the silo. Anyone know how to run a report on a particular drive to get the history of what volsers were mounted on that drive?? Trying to open the silo and check every volser in there is akin to finding a needle in a haystack. Thanx

Niteoperator,

The information can be recorded in a variety of places including the accounting file (if accounting is enabled), the audit log (if auditing of volume mounts/dismounts are enabled), and the error log. It is not common for these files to be protected from operations personnel.

Your best course of action is to contact your system manager and determine who is authorized to access those files to extract the needed information.

If I can be of additional assistance, please feel free to contact me via email.
