Dear Sir/Madam, Im working with a telecom based company. I would like to bring a problem into ur notice. Here I'll explain briefly We are submitting a batch job through a dcl script. Here the dcl call one exe and this exe is built in such a manner that it takes input from a dir and processes and places the processed files in output directory. Here exe searches using sys$search on the input dir and continues to process as long as the files exhaustes in the input dir. Previously my input dir contains a limited no of files like 200 and it is enarmously increased and its loading with 1000(s) of files. On my com i am checking upto 100 files and once it crosses the limit I m resubmitting the job so that the problem solves. If i increase the file count its throwing an error like "Error creating space for command interpreter symbol table Process quota exceeded" Why this error and how to overcome it. Providing sufficient info on this issue is highly appreciable. Kindly help me in this regard. regds, -sastry

I think you should increase WSQUO for your user (set def sys$system, run authorize, show , then get the value for WSQUO, and type: modify /wsquo=). I think your problem is linked to WSQUO, but you can also try other quotas (JTquota, pgflquo)
