OS: Open VMS
CPU/Ram: Not Sure
Product: Digital
Comment:

I am using telnet to connect to the VMS system and am constantly having the session dropped. I have upped the Probes and Drops:

$ ucx set prot tcp/probe=150
$ ucx set prot tcp/drop=1200
$ ucx set config prot tcp/probe=150
$ ucx set config prot tcp/drop=1200

but it seems like the sessions dropped quicker then they did before.

Need help, beginning to be a real pain.
PS. I am a newbie to Open VMS!!!!

dknight,

When I experience such problems, it is almost always an underlying network problem.

Check out the behavior of your network before going too deeply into assuming that it is an OpenVMS issue.
